Erica Person, M.D. Ophthalmologist
Dr. Erica Person is a cataract surgeon who specializes in complex cataract cases, utilizing new technologies to perform procedures not even possible a few years ago. She received her Bachelor of Arts in biology and psychology at Washington University in St. Louis and received her Masters of Science degree in cell and molecular biology at the St. Louis University School of Graduate Studies. She completed her Medical Doctorate at the St. Louis University School of Medicine and an Ophthalmology residency at the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Her transitional medicine internship was completed at Forest Park Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Recognizing that every patient is unique with different problems, priorities, and needs, Dr. Person’s goal is to help patients maximize their vision and see well every day. To achieve this goal, she develops a partnership with each patient and tailors treatments to complement each individual’s lifestyle. She feels it is important to take each person’s overall health into account when treating eye disease.
