What To Expect
Phone Consultation
The first step is a consultation with our friendly and knowledgeable team. They will review your health history, discuss out-of-pocket expenses, and compile a list of any current medications. Together, you will discuss your procedure in transparent detail, taking time to answer questions and prepare for the surgery.
Preparation for your procedure will vary based on the type, but some general guidelines typically include:
- Obtain a driver for the day of the surgery
- Plan to have someone assist you at home if your procedure involves sedation
- Bring your identification and insurance card
- Certain procedures require a period of fasting beforehand
Your Procedure
You will receive assistance from several professionals during your procedure to ensure that it goes smoothly. Our team will guarantee your safety and comfort from the second you arrive until the end of your recovery. You will also meet with anesthesiologists and CRNAs who will administer anesthesia as needed after determining that you are healthy enough for the surgery.
Your Recovery
Following your procedure, you and your driver will be instructed on how to safely recuperate at home. Whether brief or long-term, your recovery instructions will include a timeline so that you know exactly what to expect from your healing process.

Important Update: New Survey Process for Patient Feedback
Beginning January 2025, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has implemented an important change in how patient experience is measured at all Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs). As part of this national initiative, all ASCs are now required to use an independent, CMS-approved third-party vendor to administer the OAS CAHPS (Outpatient and Ambulatory Surgery Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) survey. This survey plays a critical role in helping ASCs like ours evaluate and improve the quality of care and services provided to patients.
What This Means for You
After receiving care at our surgery center, you may be contacted to complete a short survey about your experience. Surveys may be delivered through one of the following methods:
- Postal mail
- Phone call
Participation is voluntary, but your feedback is incredibly valuable. Your honest responses help us:
- Understand your experience as a patient
- Identify opportunities to improve our care
- Comply with national quality reporting standards
We want every patient to feel heard and respected—and this survey is one of the key ways we ensure that. For more information about the survey process, visit the official CMS website at www.oascahps.org.
