Meet Sujata S. Purohit, M.D.

Sujata S. Purohit, M.D., has practiced ophthalmology for over a decade and treated thousands of patients. Her subspecialty training is in cornea and refractive surgery. She also specializes in cataract surgery, medical and laser glaucoma treatments and blepharoplasty and other eyelid procedures. During her training, Dr. Purohit witnessed how critical it is to maintain good vision and its impact on all aspects of daily life.

Her father, who spent his career in the automotive industry, instilled in her an interest in technological advances. From personal experiences with family members and seeing friends suffering from illness, it was clear to her that a career in medicine was the right choice.

Uniting her love for medicine, surgery, and technology is what drives Dr. Purohit to provide her patients with the latest in eye care treatments available today. She is excited by the innovative technology that is now occurring in the field of ophthalmology.

Her compassionate care enables a rewarding relationship with her patients and helps each person to achieve the vision that accommodates their lifestyle. Born and raised in Michigan, Dr. Purohit graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School. She completed her residency at the University of Texas and a Refractive Surgery Fellowship at the prestigious Shiley Eye Center at University of California in San Diego.
